3D Self Identity

For this project I had to design a 3D self Identity object. I started thinking of the most important periods of my life that I have grown and changed in them and they where five so I decided that my model should have five parts to it. To represent my culture and religion I wanted it to be inspired by Islamic art. Islamic patterns are so complicated yet so simple, and that is my personality. I used a very simple shape and made a pattern out of it. I made them in different heights to show the progression in my life. They are arranged in away to show the overlap and link them between them. I used wood as my material to show the strength, stability, and reliability. A big part of this project is the shadows that you see in the model first it shows the beauty of the pattern and the piece, most importantly the shadows are representations of the possibilities in the future and the changes that will happen.
